Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) policy on campus
Kasetsart University supports the pollution-free transport within the campus to reduce carbon dioxide emission and noise pollution. The university encourages student and personnel to travel by the campus shuttle service more.
On 19 December 2017, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, Acting President of Kasetsart University, and Mr. Wisit Kotchasit, Chairman of the Board, MA Power Solution Co. Ltd. signed MoU in signing ceremony for collaboration of R&D on electrical vehicles for public service or E-Shuttle Service Project at Kamphol Adulavidhaya Conference Room, Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Bangkhen Campus.
In addition, Kasetsart University has implemented 15 electrical trams with station service to replace diesel trams for public services. Full Approach, December 2018

On 22 December 2017, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, Acting President of Kasetsart University, received an electrical bus for campus transport service and fund for Digital Society@KU system development project from Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited at Kamphol Adulavidhaya Conference Room, Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Bangkhen Campus.

On 10 September 2018, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and Kasetsart University co-organized the project to construct a charging station of electric vehicles of 2 charging points for 6 KU EV BUSES which will be in-service for students, personnel to the general public commuting in the University.

On the 2nd of November 2017, Kasetsart University officially launched ‘Mobike First Ride in KU’. It was the first batch of smart bikes in the University. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, Acting President of Kasetsart University, Mark Lin, Head of International Operations of Mobike and Mr. Han Kheng Lee, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Product and Solutions at Advanced Info Service Plc. or AIS also joined the ride with student, staff and alumni of the University. Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat were taking the lead of the caravan on the 1.4 kilometers bike lane around Chakrabandhu Pensiri Hall. (https://mobike.com/global/blog/post/mobike-bangkok)

On 28 March 2018, the 600 upgraded version of ‘Mobike’- smart bicycles were added for service. The bikes were recreated with stronger and wearable structure, adjustable seat, and chargeable solar cell electricity for GPS and unlock system.

On 25 May 2018, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, Acting President of Kasetsart University together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shettapong Meksumpun, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries, presided over the opening ceremony of a campaign on exercise for health, energy saving and environment conservation by biking on the ‘blue bike lane’ (blue is the symbolic color of the Faculty).
